Cosy Industries was started in the year 1984 with the guidance from Shree M.A.Vasudeva Raja (an industrious person since early childhood) - during a recession period in the engineering industry. The name Cosy Industries was selected aptly to produce office furniture – Cosy [pronounced as `kouzi], meaning : comfortable.

Started as a SSI unit, initially to manufacture “Heavy duty hinges for automobile four wheelers out of mild steel material”, with an investment of 0.50 Lac in the year 1984 the unit grew (grows) steadily in all aspects in spite of the recession. Although small, the unit was quickly registered as suppliers to M/S Simpson & Co. Ltd; Chennai for their hinge requirement at “Ford - truck division” (developed and produced more than 150 other components), Ashok Leyland – ACCL (redesigned cabin hinges), Integral Coach Factory (door & berth hinges), L&T - Audco India Ltd (Valve components), Royal Enfield India Ltd (Two wheeler components), Spic Electronics Ltd (now Spic semiconductors Ltd indigenized heat sinks of 5 micron accuracy, that was previously purchased from Philips Hol land), Higginbothams and many other reputed industries.

To-day not only manufacturing heavy duty hinges but also designs, develops and manufactures Custom hinges, pressed components (for automobile & valve, industry) and special purpose machines. The strength of maintaining long term relationships, almost with all customers since start - by innovative designs, being the best quality, prompt in delivery, implying value added and cost effective manufacturing methods are the specialties. Rated " A* " by customer’s vendor rating, the unit proudly holds couple of patents that proves the innovative designing skills. Adapting quality standards the unit is always ready for accepting changes and expanding steadily.
